Overview of 2D Command Line Emulator

The 2D Command Line Emulator is a SolidWorks Add-In that allows you to type commands as you would in AutoCAD.

SolidWorks 2D Emulator is only available in the 32-bit version of SolidWorks. It is not available in the 64-bit version of SolidWorks.

To activate the 2D Command Line Emulator:

Click Tools > Add-Ins and select SolidWorks 2D Emulator from the list of add-ins.

The command line appears at the bottom of the screen when you open a document.

To turn off the emulator:

Click Tools > Add-Ins again, and clear the SolidWorks 2D Emulator check box.

To access the 2D Command Line Emulator Help:

Type Help on the command line or click Help > 2D Command Emulator Help when the emulator is active.

The SolidWorks software supports the AutoCAD commands described in the following topics. Commands beginning with an apostrophe (') can be used as Transparent Commands.
