Hole Series (Last Part) PropertyManager

The Last Part is the last part through which the Hole Series passes. The Last Part contains the tap, or the bottom of the hole if it is a blind hole.

To open the Hole Series (Last Part) PropertyManager:

Click Hole Series (Features toolbar) or Insert > Assembly Feature > Hole > Hole Series.

End Hole Specification

Clearance Hole

Tap

Auto size based on start hole Sets the diameter for the middle parts by choosing the closest available hole size to the diameter of the first part. The available hole sizes depend on the selected screw type. If you change the Size (First Part) PropertyManager, Start Hole Specification), the middle parts automatically update to match. Clear this option to set Custom Sizing.
Type Select a drill type or screw clearance.
Size Select a size for the fastener.
Fit Select a fit for the fastener: Close, Normal, or Loose.

End Component

Component List Select an end component of the hole series.

End Condition

The End Condition options vary depending on the hole type. Use the PropertyManager images and descriptive text to set the options.

  • Select an end condition from the list: Blind, Through All, Up to Surface, Offset from Surface. Set other end condition options depending on the condition and hole type.
    Blind is the distance measured from the first face intersected by the hole axis in the last component.
  • (For Tap ). Set the thread depth and type. Select one of the following thread options:
    Tap drill diameter Cosmetic thread Remove thread
    Cuts the hole at the tap drill diameter. Cuts the hole at the tap drill diameter with a cosmetic thread.

    With thread callout. Adds an annotation for drawings only.

    Cuts the hole at the thread diameter.

Options

Far side countersink Sets values for diameter and angle.

Custom Sizing

Sizing options vary depending on the hole type. Use the PropertyManager images and descriptive text to set the options such as diameter, depth, and angle.
You can override the value in the boxes. To revert to the default values, click Restore Default Values. The background color of the boxes is white for the default value, and yellow for the override value.
