Generating eDrawings Files for Result Plots

You can generate eDrawings®s files for SolidWorks SimulationXpress result plots.

eDrawings allows you to view and animate your analysis results. You can also create a document convenient for sending to others.

To generate eDrawings files for result plots:

  1. Click Generate eDrawings file.

    The Save As dialog box appears.

    You must have the eDrawings application installed on your computer to complete this step.

  2. Type a name for the eDrawing file, select a folder, and click Save.

    SimulationXpress creates partname-SimulationXpressStudy.analysis.eprt. The file contains von Mises stress, displacement, deformation, and Factor of Safety plots. By default, the von Mises stress plot is displayed.

  3. When you are finished with the report methods, click Next.
