Accessing SLDXML Data

If a design from a SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE application has been output as a .SLDXML file, you can access it by opening the file in SOLIDWORKS.

To access .SLDXML data:

  1. Click File > Open.
  2. In the dialog box, navigate to the location of the .SLDXML files and select a file.
  3. For file type, select .SLDXML.
  4. Click Open.

A message box shows the progress of the data being read into the SOLIDWORKS file.

The design opens and the model hierarchy appears in the FeatureManager design tree.
