Analyzing the Results

The final step in creating a TolAnalyst study is to set and review the results. When the Results PropertyManager is activated, the results are automatically computed with the default or saved settings.

To use the Analysis Results PropertyManager:

Review the results under Analysis Summary.
If necessary:
- Modify the Analysis Parameter options.
- Under Min/Max Contributors, double-click listed dimensions and tolerances to modify their tolerance values. Click OK to close the dialog box.
Click Recalculate to compute new results.
If necessary, click Export Results to export the analysis results.

Analysis Results PropertyManager
Graphics Area Display of TolAnalyst Results

TolAnalyst results are displayed visually in the graphics area. Warning messages appear if there are potential problems with the setup and evaluation.
Change Geometric Tolerance

Use the Change Geometric Tolerance dialog box to change the tolerance values of the contributing geometric tolerances.
Examples: Using Orientation Tolerances

The Orientation Tolerances option allows TolAnalyst to consider tolerances that explicitly control feature orientation. When combined with the option, Float fasteners and pins, the Orientation Tolerances option allows TolAnalyst to use the clearances between features to rotate parts into their worst-case condition.
Examples: Using Normal to Origin Feature

The Normal-to origin feature option reorients the direction of measurement to be normal (perpendicular) to the Measure From feature of the measurement.
Examples: Fixed and Floating Fastener Assemblies

TolAnalyst can consider the clearances resulting from fixed and floating fastener assemblies when it computes the worst case tolerance conditions.
