Smart Feature Insert PropertyManager

Specify which associated components and features of a Smart Component to add, and specify the references needed to add them.

To open the Smart Feature Insert PropertyManager, with a Smart Component in an assembly, do one of the following:

  • Click Insert Smart Features , which appears over the component in the graphics area.
  • In the graphics area, right-click the component and select Insert Smart Features.
  • Select the component, then click Insert > Smart Features.

Features

Select Features, then select or clear individual features to include in the assembly. Select a feature from the list to highlight it in the preview window.

Preview features Select to preview features in the graphics area.

Components

Select Components, then select or clear individual components to include in the assembly. Select a component from the list to highlight it in the preview window.

References

Lists the references you need to specify when inserting the associated components and features. The references are highlighted in the preview window. Select a corresponding entity in the graphics area to specify the reference.

Indicates that the reference has not been specified yet.
Indicates that the reference has been specified.

Options

Update feature and component size/location when smart component moves/changes Select to have changes in the Smart Component reflected in the associated components and features.
