Creating Circular Sketch Patterns

To create circular sketch patterns:

  1. In an open sketch, click Circular Sketch Pattern Tool_Circular_Sketch_Step_Repeat_Sketch.gif (Sketch toolbar) or Tools > Sketch Tools > Circular Pattern.
  2. In the PropertyManager, under Entities to Pattern, select the sketch entities to pattern sketch_copy.png.
  3. Under Parameters:
    1. Click Reverse direction PM_reverse_direction_circ.gif.
    2. In the graphics area, drag the selection point drag_sketch_pattern_instances.gif to select a pattern center other than the sketch origin.

      Alternatively, in Center X PM_Center_X_Coordinate.gif and Center Y PM_Center_Y_Coordinate.gif, set values.

      Sketch origin as the pattern center
      circular_sketch_pattern_point.gif
      Point as the pattern center

    3. Set Spacing PM_angle.gif to specify the total number of degrees in the pattern.
    4. Select Equal spacing to pattern instances equidistant from each other.
    5. Select Dimension radius to display the circular pattern radius.
    6. Select Dimension angular spacing to display the dimension between pattern instances.
    7. Set Number PM_number of_instances_circ.gif of pattern instances.
    8. Select Display instance count to show the number of instances in the pattern.
    9. Set Radius PM_Radius.gif to specify the radius of the pattern.
    10. Set the Arc Angle dim_ang_02.png to specify the angle that is measured from the center of the selected entities to the center point or vertex of the pattern.

  4. Click PM_OK.gif.
