Browsing the SOLIDWORKS Forum from the Task Pane

You can browse the SOLIDWORKS Discussion Forum from within the Task Pane on the SOLIDWORKS Forum tab

When you first open the SOLIDWORKS Forum tab, it displays the most recent forum posts. You can browse forum posts by using Search and various drop-down menu filters.

To activate the SOLIDWORKS Forum tab_Forum tab: Do one of the following:
  • On the SOLIDWORKS Resources tab_SOLIDWORKS_Resources.gif tab of the Task Pane, click Discussion Forum.
  • Click Tools > Add-Ins and in the dialog box, select SOLIDWORKS Forum version.
To search the forums: Enter a search term and click search_discussion_forum.gif.

You can filter search results using the drop-down menus. When you click a post, it opens in your web browser.
To start a new discussion: Click forum_start_discussion.gif.

The Start a Discussion page opens in your web browser.
