Parameters

Component
Part or component where the body exists
Color
COLORREF value
Option
Selection state of temporary body as defined by swTempBodySelectOptions_e

Return Value

  • 0 = Success

  • 1 = Failed because you did not get the body before using this method

  • 2 = Invalid component

  • 3 = Not a part instance

Example

Remarks

Using this method, you can select temporary bodies. You can then assign colors to faces on temporary bodies and to entire temporary bodies using IFace2::MaterialPropertyValues or IFace2::IMaterialPropertyValues and IBody2::MaterialPropertyValues2 or IBody2::IMaterialPropertyValues2. To determine if a body is temporary, call IBody2::IsTemporaryBody.

If you specify swTempBodySelectable for the option argument, then the blocking state is set to swModifyBlock. The blocking state is unset after IBody2::Hide or IBody2::IHide is called.

The component cannot be in a subassembly.
