Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As IFeatureManager

Dim UseCentrod As System.Boolean
Dim GeomPatt As System.Boolean
Dim value As Feature

value = instance.InsertTableDrivenPattern(FileName, PointVar, UseCentrod, GeomPatt)
C#
Feature InsertTableDrivenPattern(
   System.string FileName,
   System.object PointVar,
   System.bool UseCentrod,
   System.bool GeomPatt
)
C++/CLI
Feature^ InsertTableDrivenPattern(
&   System.String^ FileName,
&   System.Object^ PointVar,
&   System.bool UseCentrod,
&   System.bool GeomPatt
)

Parameters

FileName

Name of the file that has the coordinates information; can be an empty string

PointVar

Array of x, y coordinates of the points

UseCentrod

True to use the centroid of the seed feature, face, or body, or false to use another point as the reference point

GeomPatt

True to pattern the geometry, false to not

Return Value

Feature

Remarks

You can specify the coordinates of the input points using a .sldptab file.

The file coordinates are specified along with units. The points can also be specified in the PointArr argument. Because each point has two coordinates (x, y), the size of PointArr is 2*count. The value in the array should be in system units.

This method requires selecting the required input entities using the proper selection marks:

  • Coordinate system = 16

  • Seed feature = 4

  • Seed face = 128

  • Seed body = 256

  • Reference point = 32

If UseCentrod is false, then you must specify a reference point.
