Indexing Settings Dialog Box

Use the Indexing Settings dialog box to set up the index server with both the index server and SOLIDWORKS PDM database server are installed on the SQL server system that hosts the vault databases.

To display this dialog box:

Right-click Indexing and select Open.

Index File Vault Archives Enables content search of the vault.
Archive Locations The path in which the vault archives are stored.

To edit the path, right-click the archive path and select Edit.

Select the File Vault Indexing Method
  • Windows Search is preselected if the vault has not previously been indexed.
  • Indexing Service is preselected if the vault has already been indexed and has been upgraded.
