Variable Mapping

To map data card variables to embedded data (property values) in vault files, you create a block/attribute variable mapping. Property values in files that are added to the vault are automatically read and shown in the mapped file data card variable.

Variable mappings are fully two-way linked. When the variable value is updated in the file data card, the mapped property value is updated in the file without requiring the user to open and resave the file. If a property is read-only, the value is only read from the file to the data card variable.

Different file types have different block/attribute names.
