Select Labels for Display

The names of documents in the vault view are followed by labels in angle brackets that you can customize.

  • Document Name
  • Number
  • Description
  • Revision
  • Status
  • Owner

To select individual labels for display, in the SOLIDWORKS client or the SOLIDWORKS Explorer client, right-click in the vault view and select Display Labels With, then choose one of the label types listed above.

To access the Select Display Labels dialog box:

  1. In SOLIDWORKS client or the SOLIDWORKS Explorer client, right-click in the vault view and choose Display Labels With > Select.
  2. Choose labels as described below, then click OK.

Document Labels

Select any of the label types as listed above. Use Select All and Clear All to aid in the selection.

Choose 1 custom property to display Select the check box and choose a custom property from the list. The list is created from the properties created by the vault administrator on the Properties tab of the VaultAdmin tool.

Project Labels

Choose the project name as entered on the Projects tab in the VaultAdmin:
  • Descriptive name
  • Actual Name

Settings

Save as default The settings you have selected apply when you open SOLIDWORKS clients in the future. If cleared, the defaults you set previously are used. The default at installation is to display the document name and revision.
