FilletXpert Corner PropertyManager

Use the Corner tab in the FilletXpert PropertyManager to create and manage fillet corner features where exactly three filleted edges meet at one vertex.

The FilletXpert PropertyManager appears when you click FilletXpert in the Fillet PropertyManager. The FilletXpert can create and edit constant radius fillets only. The PropertyManager remembers its last used state.

Two PropertyManager toggle buttons are available:
  • Manual. Use this PropertyManager to maintain control at the feature level.
  • FilletXpert (Constant radius fillets only). Use this PropertyManager when you want the SOLIDWORKS software to manage the structure of the underlying features.
When you edit a fillet using Edit Feature, the Fillet PropertyManager appears with no toggle buttons.

To open the FilletXpert PropertyManager:

Click Fillet (Features toolbar) or Insert > Features > Fillet/Round and in the PropertyManager, click FilletXpert.

Corner Faces

  Show Alternatives Displays alternative fillet corner previews in a pop-up.

Copy Targets

Copy Targets Select target fillet corners to which to copy the fillet corner selected under Corner Faces. When you click in Copy Targets, compatible target fillet corners highlight in the graphics area if you select Enable highlighting.
  You can copy only to compatible fillet corners. For example, you can copy a fillet corner combining 2 convex fillets and one concave fillet with a larger radius than the other edges to a fillet corner with the same description. Exceptions exist for similar corners.

Some combinations of convexity, concavity, and radii are similar enough that you can copy corners between them. You can copy from simple fillet corners to complex ones, and vice versa.

Enable highlighting Highlights all compatible target fillet corners when you click in Copy Targets select_face_planar.png.
