Referenced Files

There are several ways to list and edit files referenced by part, assembly, and drawing documents.

Situation Dialog Box Capabilities
When opening a document Edit Referenced File Locations
  • List files referenced by the document you are opening.
  • Edit the locations and names of referenced files, to reference different files.
While a document is open Find References
  • List files referenced by the active document.
  • Print the list or copy it to the clipboard.
  • Save copies of the listed items to a folder or zip file.
When saving a document Save As with References
  • List files referenced by the active document.
  • Edit the locations and names of referenced files and save them to the new locations or names.
