Blended Curvature-based Mesher

An alternate curvature-based mesher is available. The new mesher uses improved algorithms that provide a high-quality surface mesh.

In the Mesh PropertyManager, select Blended curvature-based mesh.

With the blended curvature-based mesher, you can attempt to mesh models that failed to mesh with the standard or curvature-based mesher.

For the global mesh settings, the same options you specify for the curvature-based mesher are available for the blended curvature-based mesher: maximum element size, minimum element size, minimum number of elements in a circle, and element size growth ratio.

For local mesh control settings (Mesh Control PropertyManager), you specify: maximum element size, minimum element size, and minimum number of elements in a circle.

The local mesh control settings for the maximum element size and minimum element size should be within the range of values you specify for the global mesh settings.

The blended curvature-based mesh is not supported for h-adaptive and p-adaptive options for static studies.
