Copying the Archive Server Log File

You can copy the archive server log file to make it available to Support or your administrator.

To copy the archive server log file:

  1. In the Administration tool, right-click the archive server name and click Show the Archive Server log.
    The log file opens in the right pane.
  2. In the Log File dialog box, click Copy log file (toolbar).
    The complete log file is copied as a .cog file to the Windows clipboard. The file name is the name of the archive server.
  3. To save the file, paste it:
    • On the desktop
    • Into a folder
    • As an attachment to an email or other document
  4. To open and view the file, double-click it.
    The SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration tool opens with the log file displayed in the right pane.
