Editing File Properties

You can view the properties of files. You can edit the properties only if you have the file checked out.

  1. Right-click a file and click Properties.
  2. From the Properties dialog box, click a tab and update fields as necessary.
    • General - Contains read-only information such as the creation date and version number of the file.
    • File Data Card - Contains information specific to the file type (file extension). The content, layout, and options vary by file type.
    • File Permissions - Specifies which groups have permission to see the file.
      This tab is available only if you have rights to set file permissions.
    • Custom - Available for SOLIDWORKS files only.
  3. Click OK.
