CircuitWorks Options - Database

Select the database that CircuitWorks uses for its Component Library.

To display CircuitWorks Options - Database:

From the CircuitWorks Options dialog box, click Database .

To display the CircuitWorks Options dialog box, do one of the following:

  • From CircuitWorks, click the CircuitWorks application menu , then click Options .
  • From SOLIDWORKS, click Tools > CircuitWorks > CircuitWorks Options.
Use SQLite database (Recommended)

Use the SQLite database that is included with CircuitWorks. This option is recommended because SQLite is easier to administer.

Use SQL Server database
Use a SQL Server® Express database (version 2005 or later). Specify:
  • Server name
  • Use Windows authentication
  • User name (if not using Windows authentication)
  • Password (if not using Windows authentication)
If SQL Server Express is installed locally, use the default server name (localhost\SQLEXPRESS) with Use Windows authentication selected.

Click Test Connection to verify your settings.
