Smart Component PropertyManager

Define or edit a Smart Component in a temporary defining assembly.

To define a component as smart:

See Creating Smart Components.

To edit the definition of an existing Smart Component:

See Editing Definition of a Smart Component.

Smart Component

Component to make smart Select the component to make smart.

Components

Components associated with Smart Component Select one or more components to associate with the Smart Component, such as gaskets, dust caps, and screws.

Features

Features to make smart Select one or more features to associate with the Smart Component, such as bosses and holes.
  Hide/Show Components Click to hide or show components selected for Component to make smart and Components associated with Smart Component . When you click in the Features to make smart feature.png selection box, the components are hidden automatically to facilitate selection of features in the graphics area.

Auto Size

  Diameter Select to add auto-sizing capability to a cylindrical Smart Component that has multiple configurations.
select_face_cyl.png Concentric mate reference Select a cylindrical face or axis on the Smart Component. A mate reference is created between the selected face or axis and the feature selected in Features to make smart feature.png.
  Hide/Show Components Click to hide or show components containing features selected for Features to make smart feature.png. When you select Diameter, the components are hidden automatically to facilitate selection of a cylindrical face or axis on the Smart Component.
Configurator Table Click to map configurations of the Smart Component to configurations of the associated components and features.
