Creating Vertical Dimensions

You can create a vertical dimension between two points. The vertical direction is defined by the orientation of the current sketch.

To create a vertical dimension:

  1. Click Vertical Dimension Tool_Vertical_Dimensions_Relations.gif (Dimensions/Relations toolbar) or Tools > Dimensions > Vertical .
    The pointer changes to pointer_dim_vertical.gif.
  2. Click the two points to dimension.
    You can undo previous selections by pressing Esc. For example, when dimensioning multiple entities using the Vertical Dimension Tool_Vertical_Dimensions_Relations.gif tool, you can press Esc to undo the last selection. This is helpful if you accidentally select an entity that you did not want to dimension.
  3. Click a location to place the dimension.
