Compare Geometry Enhancements

Enhancements in the Compare Geometry utility make it easier to identify the volumes that have been added and removed in a model.

When you run Compare Geometry, select Keep bodies on close to save the comparison volume bodies directly in the reference model, in the modified model, or in both. The volume bodies are listed in the model's FeatureManager design tree and appear under the Compare Volume folder, in the Common Volume, Material Added and Material Removed subfolders.

You can then use the Intersect tool to merge any combination of the added and removed materials into the reference or modified model.

When you use the Intersect tool to add materials, they will be fixed (static) bodies. Linked dimensions and references will not be carried over to the merged bodies.

Previously, the Compare Geometry utility generated a separate Volume Comparison file that included both bodies added and bodies removed, but made it difficult to distinguish between them.
