GetSymLines Method (IEnvironment)

Gets an array that defines all lines in the symbol.

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Function GetSymLines( _
   ByVal SymId As System.String _
) As System.Object
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As IEnvironment
Dim SymId As System.String
Dim value As System.Object

value = instance.GetSymLines(SymId)
C#
System.object GetSymLines(
   System.string SymId
)
C++/CLI
System.Object^ GetSymLines(
&   System.String^ SymId
)

Parameters

SymId

Name of the geometric tolerance symbol formatted as:

<LibraryName-SymbolName>

where LibraryName and SymbolName are in the SOLIDWORKS text file C:\ProgramData\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 20nn\lang\english\gtol.sym.

NOTE: You must include the right- and left-angle brackets and separate LibraryName and SymbolName with a hyphen; for example, <MOD-DEG>.

Return Value

Array (see Remarks)

Example

See the IEnvironment examples.

Remarks

Each line in the symbol is defined by 2 points. The size of the array returned by this method is based on the number of lines within this symbol. You can determine this number using the return value line count from IEnvironment::GetSymEdgeCounts.

The format of return value is the following array of doubles (in this example, for the ith line):

retval[6 * i + 0] = x coordinate of first point

retval[6 * i + 1] = y coordinate of first point

retval[6 * i + 2] = z coordinate of first point

retval[6 * i + 3] = x coordinate of second point

retval[6 * i + 4] = y coordinate of second point

retval[6 * i + 5] = z coordinate of second point
