- Tables Overview
You can use tables to annotate drawings and assemblies.
- Annotation Tables
A table consists of cells arranged in rows and columns. Cells can contain either text or data that you can format individually.
- General Tables
You can create general tables to use in drawings. These tables allow similar functionality to other SOLIDWORKS tables, such as split, merge, sort, and equations.
- Hole Tables
You can use hole tables to automatically generate hole information in a tabular format. You can create columns for model information, such as hole size and location.
- Revision Tables
You can insert a revision table (block) and related revision symbols in a drawing. You can link revision tables to the SOLIDWORKS Workgroup PDM product.
- Weldment Cut List Tables
You can use a weldment cut list table to add a BOM-like table for cut, welded structural shapes.
- Weld Tables
You can insert weld tables in drawings.
- Bend Tables
You can insert a bend table in the flat pattern view of sheet metal parts in drawings.
- Punch Tables
You can insert a punch table in the flat pattern view of sheet metal parts in drawings.
- Title Block Tables
You can create title block tables in parts and assemblies and link the table information to the configuration-specific properties of the document.
- Table Cell, Row, or Column Toolbar
You can use the table cell, row, or column toolbars to format Bill of Materials, Hole Tables, Revision Tables, Weld Tables, or Weldment Cut Lists.
- Table Columns and Rows
- Adding Symbol Text to BOM or Table Cells
You can add symbols such as spherical diameter or plus/minus to text-based table cell entries.
- Linking a Note to a Table Cell
You can link a note to the contents of any BOM or hole table cell.
- Equations in Tables and BOMs
- Table Templates
Standard templates for Bend Tables, Bills of Materials, Hole Tables, Punch Tables, Revision Tables, Weldment Cut Lists, Weld Tables, and Title Block Tables are available in <install_dir>\solidworks\lang\<language>. You can specify a different folder, and you can save and use custom templates.
- Table Anchors
Anchors position tables with respect to a drawing sheet format. Each type of annotation table has its own anchor point in a drawing sheet format.
- Table PropertyManager
Specify formatting for a General Table, Bill of Materials, Hole Table, Revision Table, or Weldment Cut List.
