The Normal cut option in the Cut-Extrude PropertyManager is improved and delivers better results.
For sheet metal parts with extruded cut features created prior to SOLIDWORKS 2017, select Normal cut and Optimized geometry in the Cut-Extrude PropertyManager to take advantage of the enhanced functionality.
The geometry now produces smoother results. The following example shows an extruded cut based on a circular sketch.
