You can display mass properties for CAD files (except SOLIDWORKS files) or eDrawings part and assembly files. You can also set the units and precision for calculating the mass properties. In assemblies, the properties are calculated for the complete assembly, not individual components.

To display mass properties:

The
Mass Properties pane lists:

If a material is not specified, density is assumed to be 1.00 grams per cubic millimeter. |

- Specify:
- Units for calculating the properties. Corresponding mass units are used (grams with millimeters, pounds with inches, etc.)
- Decimal Places (0 to 8) for precision of the values.
The mass properties update dynamically.
- To release the Properties tool, click it again.
