Convert Dialog Box

Use the Convert dialog box to create a file conversion task.

To display this dialog box, click Convert Files on the sidebar.

Task title

Enter a new task name or use the default task name.

Task files or folders

Include subfolders A folder task includes subfolders by default. Clear Include subfolders to convert files in only the specified folder.
Add File Click to select one or more files to convert. A given task can contain files or folders but not both.
Add Folder Select one or more folders containing files to convert.

Distributed tasks have special folder requirements. See Folders for Distributed Tasks.
Delete Deletes the selected file or folder from the list.
Folder The path to the folder or the files to convert.
File name or type Click to change the file type to convert.

Task settings

Distribute Task Select to make the current task distributed. Network Monitor must be running to select Distribute Task.
Network Monitor Starts Network Monitor.
Network Test Verifies folder access for distributed tasks.
Options Click to set conversion options and backup locations.
Advanced Click to set task options.

Task schedule

Tasks without schedule information start immediately.

To run a scheduled task, your computer must be on at the scheduled start time. Network Monitor must be running for distributed task processing. The SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler window does not need to be open for a task to run.

Running mode Specifies how often the task runs. Select Once, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.

Start after previous task Makes a new task start after the last listed task is completed.
