The Air Vents boundary condition identifies vent locations in your cavity. This boundary condition is used with the venting analysis feature that is activated in the Fill Settings PropertyManager.
By adding air vents in cavity parts, you can track the formation and migration of air bubbles inside the cavities, and their escape through the vents. Bubble pressure is also computed and applied to the neighboring polymer material.
You can view the result Venting Pressure at Filling End to locate the air pressure distributions inside the cavity. Add vents at the areas with high air pressure.
To open the Air Vents PropertyManager:
- In the PlasticsManager, expand , and double-click Air Vents.
