New/Edit Template - Template Cards

Use this screen to optionally display an template card when a user runs the template. The card can contain controls such as check boxes, edit fields, and lists. The values the user enters are used by the template to assign folder and file names.

To display this screen:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To create a new template, right-click Templates and click New Template.
    • To edit an existing template, double-click the template.
  2. In the left pane, click Template Cards.
Selected cards Lists the input forms to use for this template. Click Add Card to add input forms. Click a card to display its variables under Card Variable. See Template Cards.
Variables to copy for selected card The Card Variable column lists the card variables for the selected card. Map each card variable to a template variable:
  1. Under Card Variable, click a card variable.
  2. Under Template Variable, click and select a template variable, or select <not copied.> if you do not want to map this card variable.
    Click Template Variables to create template variables.
Add Card To add an input form to the template, click Add Card. From the Add Card dialog box, select an input form and click OK. You can add more than one input form, but you cannot define the display order.
Remove Cards To remove an input form from the template, select a card and click Remove Cards.
Card Editor Opens the card editor so that you can create or modify template cards.
Template Variables To create and organize template variables, click Template Variables. See Organize Template Variables.
