Graphing Results of Multi-Step Solution Studies

After running a study with time-varying (nonlinear, drop test, or modal time history) or frequency-varying solution steps (harmonic or random vibration) you can generate 2-D graphs of the desired result at selected model locations.

To define a time history or frequency response graph:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Results folder and select Define Time History Plot.
  2. In the Time History Graph PropertyManager, under Response, select the locations (nodes) at which you want to graph the desired result.
Vertices under Predefined locations are set in the Sensors PropertyManager.
  3. Under X-Axis and Y-Axis, do the following:
    1. Select an item to graph in Component .
    2. In Units , select the units of the graph.
  4. If applicable, under X-Axis Range (Time) or X-Axis Range (Frequency), set a time or frequency interval and the resolution of intermediate time steps for the graph.
  5. Click .
