Creating an Assembly File Structure with Treehouse

To create an assembly file structure:

  1. In Treehouse, drag nodes into the work area. You can drop parts and assemblies onto assemblies to add them as components.
    If you have added additional templates in Treehouse Options, to access them pause the pointer over the part, assembly, or drawing template.
  2. To add drawings, drag a drawing node onto a part or assembly node.
  3. While editing, you can perform these basic operations:
    Option Description
    Copy a part, assembly, or drawing node Ctrl+drag the node onto a part or assembly node.
    Move all instances of a part or assembly node Shift+drag the node.
    Delete a node Drag the node onto the trash bin.
    Edit File Properties Double-click a node.
    Zoom in or out Spin the mouse wheel.
    Zoom to fit Press F or click Zoom to Fit .
    Zoom extents Double-click the middle mouse button to zoom extents.
    Pan Drag the middle mouse button.
  4. When you have created your hierarchy, click Export to SOLIDWORKS Documents .
  5. In the Select Folder dialog box, select the folder that you want to export to or click Make New Folder and enter a folder name.
  6. Click OK.
    The software creates SOLIDWORKS parts, assemblies, and drawings documents from the nodes using the Treehouse hierarchy.
