Notifications

Notifications are messages sent to users or user groups.

There are two types of notifications:

Manual notifications that you send explicitly.
Automatic notifications generated by state changes of objects.

Notifications inform, remind, or alert the receiving users when a file has changed state or when an accessed file has been released.

Notifications and notification settings are inherited by all subfolders, unless they are changed in a subfolder.
