You can install SOLIDWORKS Electrical in either individual or server mode.
It is important to note that SOLIDWORKS Electrical needs to connect to an instance of SQL Server, whether it is an existing or a new instance.
In individual mode, you can install the following components:
- SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic
- SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D
- Collaborative Server
- Data
- A new instance of the SQL Server database
In server mode, you can install the following components:
- A new instance of the SQL Server database
- Collaborative Server
- Data
You can combine components from individual and server modes to create a client/server environment. For example, you can install SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic and SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D on client systems, and install all server components on a server system.
