Upgrading PCB Services

When you are upgrading SOLIDWORKS PCB Services to 2019, the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager upgrades the Firebird database from release 2.0 to 3.0, and automatically migrates your data. Before upgrading, you should make a manual backup of the database.

To upgrade SOLIDWORKS PCB Services:

Start the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager.
On the Welcome page, select Server Products.
Select Upgrade SOLIDWORKS PCB Services on this computer and click Next.

The following message displays: SOLIDWORKS PCB Services requires an upgrade to your Firebird database. If you continue, your Firebird software and your database will be upgraded.
Click Next.
On the Summary page, accept the default settings or click Change to specify other settings.
Accept the terms of the SOLIDWORKS License Agreement and click Install Now.
