You import from SOLIDWORKS Plastics the residual stresses and
temperatures generated after the packing (Flow + Pack) process.
To import in-mold stresses from SOLIDWORKS
Plastics, do one of the following:
- Right-click the study icon at the top of the Nonlinear
simulation study tree, and click Properties. Click the In-mold
stresses tab
- Right-click External
Loads
and click In-mold Residual Stresses
.

Import
in-mold stresses from SOLIDWORKS Plastics
|
Browse to the location of the
*.POE binary file. The
binary file stores:
- Node coordinates and element connectivity of
the original mesh
- Nodal values for temperature and in-mold
residual stresses (three normal and three shear stress
components)
- Material properties

Include material from SOLIDWORKS Plastics
|
If material has been assigned for
the part in SOLIDWORKS Plastics, this option is selected by default.
To apply a different material, clear this option and select a
material from the SOLIDWORKS Material database. |
You can import data from SOLIDWORKS Plastics only for a single
part that meshes with solid elements and uses a linear elastic isotropic
material.
