Location Label PropertyManager

To display the Location Label PropertyManager, do one of the following:

  • In a drawing with a detail, section, or auxiliary drawing view, click Insert > Annotations > Location Label.
  • Select an existing location label.
  • Right-click a detail, section, or auxiliary drawing view and click Annotations > Location Label.

Set the options in the PropertyManager and click in the graphics area to place the location label as follows:

  • In a section view, click the section cutting line or the child view.
  • In a detail view, click the detail view circle or the child view.
  • In an auxiliary view, click the reference edge or the child view.

The PropertyManager controls the following properties:

Settings

Style Select a style for the shape and border of the location label from the list.

Circular Split Line

Square Split Line

Verbose

Size Select a size from the list (a specified number of characters), Tight fit (which adjusts automatically to the text), or User Defined (where you can set the size below).
Padding If you select Tight fit in Size, you can add padding to specify an offset between the border and text.
User defined If you select User Defined in Size, you can set the size.
Upper text Select the type of text for the upper field in the location label.

Text

Allows you to type custom text in the location label.

Sheet

Shows the sheet number of the location label.

Sheet with label

Shows sheet number of the location label with SH prepended.

Zone

Shows the zone of the location label.

View letter

Shows the individual view letter of the associated child view.

Lower text Select the type of text for the lower field in the location label.

Text

Allows you to type custom text in the location label.

Sheet

Shows the sheet number of the location label.

Sheet with label

Shows sheet number of the location label with SH prepended.

Zone

Shows the zone of the location label.

View letter

Shows the individual view letter of the associated child view.

Layer

PM_Layer.gif Layer

Applies the location label to the specified drawing layer.

More Properties

When you select a location label, you can click More Properties to open the Note PropertyManager.
