Creating Sections from 3D Solids

The Section command creates a cross section based on the intersection of a plane and 3D solids.

The resulting entities are Regions.

To create a cross section of 3D solids:

  1. Type Section at the command prompt.
  2. Select the 3D solid objects to section.
  3. Specify three points to define the sectional plane.

Access

Command: Section

Menu: Solids > Solid Editing > Cross Section
