You should schedule the backup to run a few minutes before the normal daily backup and then include the archive server backup file (backup.dat) in the daily backup.
The archive server must be running to schedule the backup. The archive
server manager does not need to be running.
To schedule automatic backups:

Click .

In the Backup Settings dialog box,
under Options, select one:
- Include all vaults
- Include selected vaults.
Select the vaults to back up.

In the Backup location field, do
one:
- Enter the path to the folder for the backup. The default is the
first archive server folder found.
- Click Browse (...), browse to a folder for
the backup, and click OK.

Under Schedule, select
Schedule and click Browse
(...).

In the Backup Schedule dialog
box, select a backup option:
- Start automatically when server
starts
- One Time
Select the date and time for the backup.
- Recurring
Click Change.
In the
Recurring Backup dialog box:

Use the controls to set the frequency and the day,
week, or month.

Select one:
- Occurs once at:
Select the time of day.
- Occurs every:
Select the frequency (in hours) and time span.

Duration |
Select the start date for running
scheduled backups. Select the date on which scheduled
backups will end or select No end
date.

Under Password, enter and
confirm a password.
You must know this password to
restore the backup.

Click OK.

Verify that the schedule is correct and click OK.

Click OK.
