Example of Comparing Component Orientation Options

This example compares the component orientation options when you mirror a valve subassembly onto a second pipe.

To compare the component orientation options:

  1. Open a model when you mirror a valve subassembly onto a second pipe.
  2. Click Linear Component Pattern > Mirror Components (Assembly toolbar).
  3. In the PropertyManager, select the following items:
    1. For Mirror plane, select a plane.
    2. For Component to Mirror, select the valve subassembly.
  4. Click Next to Step 2: Set Orientation.
  5. Under Mirror Type, select Component origin.
  6. Under Orient Components, select a component orientation option.
