Suppressing and Unsuppressing Center of Mass Points

You can suppress Center of Mass (COM) points and Center of Mass Reference (COMR) points. You can configure the suppression state of COM and COMR points.

Suppressing a COM or COMR Point

To suppress a COM or COMR point:

Right-click one or more of the following and click Suppress menu_Suppress.gif.
  • Center of Mass center_of_mass_feature.gif in the graphics area
  • Center of Mass FM_center_of_mass.gif in the FeatureManager design tree
  • Center of Mass Reference Point COM_reference_point_feature_GA.gif in the graphics area
  • Center of Mass Reference Point in the FeatureManager design tree
The features you right-clicked are suppressed in the active configuration.

Unsuppressing a COM or COMR Point

To unsuppress a COM or COMR point:

Right-click one or more of the following in the FeatureManager design tree and click Unsuppress menu_Unsuppress.gif.
  • Center of Mass FM_center_of_mass.gif
  • Center of Mass Reference Point COM_reference_point_feature_GA.gif
The features you right-clicked are unsuppressed in the active configuration.

Configuring the Suppression State of COM or COMR Points

To configure the suppression state:

Do one of the following:
  • Right-click one or more COM or COMR point features and click Configure Feature menu_ConfigureThis.gif. In the Modify Configurations dialog box, select or clear Suppress for each configuration.
  • Add the features to a design table using the syntax $STATE@feature_name. For example:
    • $STATE@Center of Mass
    • $STATE@Center of Mass Reference Point2
    Then, in the table body cells, type Suppressed (or S) or Unsuppressed (or U).
  • Select one or more COM or COMR point features and click Edit > Suppress or Edit > Unsuppress . Then select This Configuration, All Configurations, or Specified Configurations.
