Using Digger

The Digger tool lets you zoom parts of your model, change opacity and visibility, and capture a 2D image.

  1. Drag the initial view into the viewport.

  2. Click in the viewport, and then press Space Bar.

    Digger appears in the viewport.

  3. Move Digger over your model by dragging the Digger ring.

    Digger magnifies the area inside the ring.

  4. On the Digger ring, click Show/Hide Tools .

    Additional icons appear around Digger.

  5. Click each of the four tools on the upper-left side of Digger (Zoom , Cutting Plane , X-Ray , Onion Skin ) and drag the percentage handle to see the effect on the model.

  6. Drag Digger off the model to an empty area of the viewport.

  7. Drag the Change Center of Interest tool onto your model.

    An attach line connects Digger and your model, and that area of the model appears in Digger.

  8. Use the Digger tools to create an effect you want to capture.

  9. Click Capture Picture in 2D Image .

    Digger disappears and Composer adds an Image 2D panel containing the Digger image to your scene. The panel is a collaborative actor with properties you can modify in the Properties pane.
