Embedded OLE objects in DWG files, native SOLIDWORKS documents, and in SOLIDWORKS documents saved as eDrawings files, are visible in eDrawings. You can embed eDrawings files in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files as OLE objects.
- OLE objects are read-only in eDrawings; you cannot double-click to open them.
- OLE objects are only displayed in the sheet on which they appear in the SOLIDWORKS document. For example, OLE objects are not visible on layout sheets created in eDrawings.
- OLE objects in eDrawings part and assembly files are static items; they do not move with the model.
