Runner Wizard

Access the Runner Wizard to create a runner layout from a set of predefined common layouts.

To open the Runner Wizard:

  • In the Runner System PropertyManager, select Runner Wizard.

From a set of predefined common layouts, select one runner layout.

Edge Gate Select at least one node on a part cavity to position the gate.
Submarine Gate Select at least one node on a part cavity to position the gate.
Banana Gate Select at least one node on a part cavity to position the gate.
One-side layout Select at least two nodes (one on each cavity) to position the gate.

if you use an uneven number of gates, position the sprue behind the gate in the middle. If you use an even number of gates, position the sprue symmetrically between the gates.

Star layout Select at least three nodes (one on each cavity) to position the gate. Position the sprue on the center point (balance point or point of gravity of the area built by the gate positions.
Two-side layout Select at least four nodes (one on each cavity) to position the gate.
A runner connects the two selected gate positions. A connecting runner connects the parallel runners. Position the sprue in the middle of the connecting runner.

Parameters

Sprue (S) Sets the design parameters for the sprue.

For Direction, select an axis orientation to align the sprue.

Runner (R) Sets the design parameters for the runner.

For Direction, select an axis orientation to align the runner.

Gate (G) Sets the design parameters for the gate.
