Cooling Channel PropertyManager

To create Simulation-only cooling channel domains, you use one or more sketches that specify the centerline of the channel.

To open the Cooling Channel PropertyManager:

  • In the PlasticsManager, right-click Domains , and click Cooling Channel.

Selections Select sketch lines to define the channel layout.
Flip Dimension Reverses the dimensions for the selected cooling channel.

Channel Parameters

General Creates a cooling channel by entering the diameters at the two end nodes connected by line elements.

Baffle Creates a cooling channel by entering one diameter for the two end nodes. The bottom node connects to the node of a line element, and the top node is isolated.

Bubbler Creates a cooling channel by entering two diameters (tube cross-section) for the two end nodes. The bottom node connects to the line element and the top node is isolated.

Number of Elements Specifies the number of meshing elements in the streamwise direction of each line segment of the sketch.
Assign Applies the current design parameters to the selected line segments and updates the graphics area accordingly.
  Delete Removes the current selections.
