Add New User
To add a new user:
On the VaultAdmin Users
and Groups tab, click New User.
In the dialog box, enter the data as described
below, then click OK.
User Information
User
name. The login name.
Password.
The password required at login.
Display
name. For administrator
information.
Email. For administrator information.
Comment. For administrator information.
Documents visible to user
All
documents. No restrictions
on documents available to the user.
Only
documents for which custom property.
Select a custom property from the list on the left and type in
a value on the right; for example, select the Vendor
property and type the name of the vendor corresponding to this user. In
the documents checked into the vault, set the custom property (Vendor,
for example) to a value corresponding to the filter. This restriction
works for all types of files, to all projects, and is in addition to restrictions
on project access. The restriction appears in the Filter
column. The vault filters out files that the user is not allowed
to see. If a file should not be seen but is the parent for files that
can be seen, the file appears in gray.
You can set
more than one value of a custom property in a document. Use a comma between
values. For example, vendor A
has access to documents with custom property Vendor
set to A, vendor B
has access to documents with custom property Vendor
set to B, and both can access
documents with custom property Vendor
set to A,B.
