Horizontal Ordinate Dimensions

Creates horizontal ordinate dimensions in a drawing or sketch, measured horizontally from the entity you select first.

To create horizontal ordinate dimensions:

  1. With a drawing or sketch active, click Horizontal Ordinate Dimension on the Dimensions/Relations toolbar, or click Tools, Dimensions, Horizontal Ordinate.

  2. Click the first item from which all others will be measured, and click again to place the dimension.

  3. Click the next item to dimension. Repeat this step until all the remaining items are dimensioned. The dimension tool remains in ordinate mode until you select another mode or another tool.
