Translator

You must translate appearances, scenes, and decals from PhotoWorks 2003 or earlier to use them in the current release of PhotoWorks. When you open a part or assembly with PhotoWorks data in the file, you are prompted to translate the data. If you open an assembly, the data in the assembly and all of its components are translated.

IMPORTANT:

  • Legacy data will be lost if you do not translate into the current release of PhotoWorks format. You can choose to not translate the data. But if you do not, and you save the part or assembly, you will not be prompted to translate the legacy data again and that data is lost.

  • You must activate each configuration of a document to translate the configuration's legacy data. When you activate a configuration, you are prompted to translate the PhotoWorks data for that configuration. If you save the document before translating the data for each configuration, the data is lost for the remaining configurations.

To translate data from PhotoWorks 2003 or earlier:

  1. Open a part or assembly with PhotoWorks data.

The PhotoWorks dialog box appears prompting you to translate the legacy data.

  2. Click Translate.

If you click Cancel and save the model, you will not be prompted to translate the legacy data again.

A progress bar appears and the data is translated.
