Re-routing to Ignore Clips

You can update a route to ignore clips.

To unhook a route segment from a clip or hanger:

  1. Click Unhook From Clip (Routing Tools toolbar) or Routing, Routing Tools, Unhook From Clip.

  2. Specify route segments in the Unhook From Clip PropertyManager.

  3. Click .

You can also right-click the sketch segment under the clip and select Unhook from clip.

If you delete a clip from the route sub-assembly, then the next time you edit the route, the software informs you that a clip has been deleted and asks if you want to update the route. If you re-route, the route updates to a more direct path ignoring the original clip.
