Rebuild

Rebuilds the model with changes.

To rebuild the model:

Click Rebuild art\REBLDTOL.gif (Standard toolbar) or Edit, Rebuild, or press Ctrl + B. Rebuilds only the features that changed since the last rebuild.

To rebuild all features, press Ctrl + Q. Can take significantly more time, depending on the complexity of your model.

When you reorder an imported feature or any other feature with no parent or child, the part does not rebuild - only the FeatureManager design tree rebuilds.

To control the rebuild action:

  1. Click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options.

  2. Select Stop, Continue, or Prompt for When rebuild error occurs, then click OK.

With Stop or Prompt, the rebuild action stops for each error so you can fix feature failures one at a time.

If you drag the rollback bar to a specific position, the model is rebuilt to that position regardless of errors.

The model is not rebuilt if:

  • The document is not the top-level document.

  • The feature with the error is directly above the rollbar.

  • The part does not have any more rebuild errors during the current rebuild than it did in the previous one.
