Annotating Components

You can annotate an assembly with ECAD properties (names, part numbers, and reference designators). Use the resulting annotated assembly for sales visualization or to create an annotated assembly drawing.

To annotate components:

  1. From SolidWorks, click Annotate Components (CircuitWorks toolbar) or CircuitWorks > Annotate Components.
  2. In the Annotate Components PropertyManager, specify annotation options and click Add.

To remove existing annotations, click Remove.

If the assembly does not contain CircuitWorks data (the model was not built by CircuitWorks and has not been exported to CircuitWorks), the Select Orientation dialog box appears. Select the top face of the board component and click Continue. For details, see Exporting SolidWorks Models to CircuitWorks.
